BINCHOTAN
SOHI GLOBAL is a Vietnam white charcoal exporter supplying white charcoal (High Quality Charcoal-Binchotan) to restaurants and importers who want steady, long-lasting heat and clean handling characteristics.
INDEPENDENT LAB VERIFIED
The eucalyptus white charcoal undergoes independent laboratory testing. Key quality parameters are verified by VINACONTROL — an independent inspection organization in Vietnam — using reference test methods that comply with TCVN and ISO standards. Each piece has a straight, aesthetically pleasing cylindrical shape with a distinctive silvery-grey surface, producing a sharp, metallic ring when struck and a pure, glowing pink heat — designed to burn without smoke, without odor, without compromise.

OUR PRODUCT STORY
Binchō-tan is Japan’s traditional white charcoal, first produced in the Edo period by the craftsman Bichū-ya Chōzaemon in Tanabe, Wakayama — the region that still produces more binchotan than anywhere else in Japan, using dense oak carbonized in wood-fired clay kilns. This white charcoal is produced in Vietnam using that same binchotan-style technique, using selected white eucalyptus wood in place of Japanese oak. Struck pieces ring with the same dense, metallic sound that defines binchotan-quality charcoal — kiln design and curing adapted for Vietnam’s climate and soil.

Watch the ring-test videoThe result burns clean and hot: 90–95% fixed carbon, a heating value of 7,500–8,000 Kcal/kg, and a steady 4–5 hour burn per piece, with under 3% ash. Its density makes it hard to light by hand, so it is ignited with a gas burner or torch — but once lit, it burns steadily, radiating far-infrared heat that cooks food evenly from the inside while keeping the surface crisp, never charred.
The process starts with selected eucalyptus at the kiln yard, moves through wood-fired carbonization and cooling, and finishes with hand-sorted charcoal packed into sealed cartons and loaded for container shipment. The result is a premium Vietnamese eucalyptus white charcoal for BBQ restaurants, importers and distributors who value long-burning heat, clean grilling performance and export-ready packing.
